Welcome to the law offices of Brian Dinday, criminal defense lawyer

I was born Nov. 21, 1947 in New Jersey and was a Rutgers University Dean’s List graduate with an A.B. degree in 1969. I received my Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School, Newark, N.J. in August of 1974 and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar that same year. I was then admitted in California in 1977. I am married with four children and maintain my law offices in San Francisco and San Rafael, CA.

I am an ex prosecutor, published legal author, judge pro tem, and arbitrator. I defend the most serious cases, from murder to rape, domestic violence, stalking, all frauds, gun violations, assaults, drug offenses, robbery, burglary, and any other crimes for which you have been arrested.

Practicing criminal defense in San Francisco since 1977, I am well acquainted with local practice and am experienced dealing with the police, prosecutors and judges there. I will also defend out of state residents on local criminal charges. Particular areas of sub specialty include firearms violations, and charges relating to romantic relationships: stalking, assaults, domestic violence, and date rape.
